P.F. Chang’s China Bistro Appoints Manager and Sous Chef for its First Hawaii Restaurant
Alan Hays and Phillip Reina to Open P.F. Chang’s at Hokua on September 12, 2006
 
HONOLULU, HAWAII – September 7, 2006 - P.F. Chang’s Hawaii (PFC Hawaii, LLC) appointed Alan Hays as Manager and Phillip Reina as Sous Chef of the first P.F. Chang’s China Bistro restaurant in Hawaii. Both will work at the P.F. Chang’s location scheduled to open on September 12, 2006 on the ground floor of Hokua, the new luxury condominium located at 1288 Ala Moana Boulevard in the Ward Center area.
 
Alan Hays, Manager, is responsible for day-to-day restaurant operations including staff supervision, scheduling, training and customer service. He joined P.F. Chang’s in 1999 as a server at the Paradise location in Las Vegas, NV. In 2000 he was appointed Manager for P.F. Chang’s Aladdin restaurant in Las Vegas, NV, and in 2005 returned to the Paradise location as Manager. Hays received a Bachelor of Science degree in business management and a Bachelor of Arts degree in exercise physiology from Adams State College in Colorado.
 
As Sous Chef, Reina will monitor the kitchen staff, product quality and assist with food preparation and presentation. He joined P.F. Chang’s in 1999 as a Pantry Chef at the Houston, TX restaurant. In 2000 he was appointed Sous Chef and in 2004 Executive Chef and Culinary Partner. He studied Culinary Arts at the Art Institute of Houston. Reina’s position with P.F. Chang’s Hokua will be his seventh store opening with P.F. Chang’s.
 
Hays and Reina will open Hawaii’s first P.F. Chang’s on Tuesday, September 12.  P.F. Chang’s at Hokua will open daily at 11 am for lunch and remain open until 11 pm (midnight on Friday and Saturday nights). Valet parking is provided at Hokua and reservations are being taken by calling 808-596-4710.
